Congratulations to our award winning essay winners:
Brianna Clay -- 1st place and $75
Emily Mixon -- 2nd place and $50
Austin Tedders and Carson Dingler --tied for 3rd place and $25
These students, along with the other sixth grade DISCOVERY students, toured the Bibb County Courthouse on March 1st. This tour was sponsored by Macon Exchange Club and Mr. Thomas Tedders. Following the tour each student in the class wrote an essay about the visit. Essays were evaluated by an outside source and the winners were selected. On April 21st, these four students attended the meeting of the Macon Exchange Club, read their essays to those present and received their awards. Thank you to the Macon Exchange Club for sponsoring this contest.
