We are off to a great beginning in DISCOVERY. It is good to see the students from previous years and good to welcome our new second grader students plus others in grades three- six.
We are discussing our theme for the year -"Every Shoe has a Story". For the week of September 14th - 18th each student is to bring in one shoe and present that shoe's story to the class. It may be their shoe or the shoe of someone else. The fourth grade did this last week and there were some very interesting stories. In addition, each student should bring in an article from either the newspaper or the Internet about the N1H1 flu. We will be discussing the flu in current events.
Just a reminder that all students should have their notebooks, pencil, pencil holder and paper to class next week also.
Thanks to the parents who came to DISCOVERY Open House on Wednesday, September 9th. If you were unable to attend and you have questions, please e-mail me at kswann@tattnall.org.
