Welcome back to school everyone. Hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for a new year in DISCOVERY. Our theme for this year is DISCOVERY on the MOVE --The Year of the M's. We will be studying several of the following topics: Media, Mississippi River, Our Military, Mt. Everest, Masks, More Ways than One, Memories, Macon, Math, Medieval Times, Monuments, and Medicine. This fall our hall doors on the 500 Hall are decorated with an animal theme. The DISCOVERY door is decorated with elephants who of course are known for their ability to move things with great power. From this our theme DISCOVERY on the Move was developed. In addition to our unit theme, we will be keeping up with current events through TIME for Kids and challenging our brains with critical thinking activities.
Classes will begin after students have had time to settle into their new homeroom classrooms. Look for a letter in your child's folder concerning the date and time DISCOVERY will beheld for each grade.
